Victorian Silver Seed Pearl Turquoise & Ruby Bird Pendant
A gorgeous seed pearl and turquoise pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of silver, this wonderful pave (French for pavement) set seed pearl and turquoise piece portrays the shape of a diving blue jay. The bird displays 2 curled wings, along with 2 tail feathers and a single ruby stone represents its eye. The natural seed pearls have a wonderful and rich iridescent color and look fantastic against the vibrant blue of the turquoise stones. The bird holds a gold ring in its mouth, which is perfect to hang from a simple silver chain. It's a fabulous and fun piece for any collector!
Measurements: The bird hangs 1 3/8” long, is 5/8” at its widest point, and slightly more than 1/4" at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting and all of the stones are intact.
