Victorian Sterling & 14kt Rose Cut Diamond Crescent Pendant
An absolutely gorgeous diamond crescent necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This exquisite crescent moon pendant adorns 64 old Rose Cut diamonds which vary in size and are set in sterling topped 14kt gold. Three old Mine Cut diamonds are prong set in the center, at the fattest part of the moon, resting slightly higher than the other diamonds. These 3 stones have a total approximate weight of .50ct tw. The 3 rows of stones give the pendant a wonderful, 3-dimensional appearance that looks stunning on. At the top of the crescent are 2 small rings where the chain attaches. It is connected to a modern gold chain that is stamped "14KT". A real beauty, this stunning piece would look lovely worn alone or with other complimentary pendants!
Measurements: The crescent moon measures 1 1/4" tall, a little less than 1 1/4" at the widest point and has a depth of a little more than 1/4". The chain measures approximately 24" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the crescent necklace is excellent. All of the diamonds are intact and besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
