Fabulous rock quartz crystal and amethyst earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These stunning earrings, which are fairly large in size, are comprised of two rock quartz crystal links which connect to each other by sterling silver findings. The crystal toppers are oval in shape, with faceted outer edges and a smooth face and back. The larger, bottom crystals are round in shape and have a convex back with faceted edges. Riveted into the center of the round plaque is a lovely beetle made of a single hand carved amethyst stone. The bug has 6 bent legs made of sterling silver and a fine carved body and wings. The earrings have a wonderful 3-dimensional look with lovely detail throughout. Riveted into the top of each smaller crystal is a sterling silver earring wire. They are simply lovely and would make a perfect addition to any collection!

Measurement: The earrings hang approximately 1 3/4" long, are 7/8" at the widest point and have a depth of 1/2".

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the amethyst stones or to the sterling silver findings. There is some minor damage to one of the rock quartz crystal disks where the wire is riveted into the crystal, however this is not noticeable when the earrings are worn.
