Vintage Sterling Silver Mexican Cutout Earrings
Fun vintage Mexican sterling silver earrings from circa 1950! Each earring has a simple but beautiful 3-dimensional cutout design. The cutout motif was a common design for sterling Mexican jewelry from this period. The earrings have a 4-sided prism-like shape and a hollow inside. They hang freely from their original sterling screwbacks which could be converted to posts or wires if desired. There is a beautiful natural patine on surface of silver which adds to the rich color of the earrings. They are marked on the back of each: "HECHO EN TAXCO 925". These earrings are fun and easy to wear and would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2" long, are a little more than 5/8" at the widest point and have a depth of 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the sterling silver and the screwbacks are secure and in good working condition.
