A gorgeous filigree diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful ring is made of 18kt white gold and features a single old European Cut diamond at the center. The diamond is prong set in a hexagonal shaped setting and weighs approximately .45ct with H color and VS2 clarity. It is surrounded by an exceptional filigree wirework design, which extends all around the mounting and features a subtle floral motif. The filigree is accented with delicate milgrained detail and beautiful antique engraving. The inside of the shank is stamped "18K" and "F + R". The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist in October 2013 and has a stated retail replacement value of $4,000.00. A gorgeous piece, it would make a truly beautiful engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of a large 6.25, but could be easily re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the diamond stone, which is intact.
