Art Deco Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring 2.04ct
An outstanding diamond engagement ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This gorgeous piece has a diamond stone that rests in the center of a beautifully ornate filigree mounting made of platinum. Resting in the center of the mounting is a stunning Old European cut diamond, which has a total weight of 2.04ct with H color and SI1 clarity. The diamond is prong set and accented with 6 additional single cut diamonds, which carry along the shoulders of the mounting. The single cut diamonds have G-H range color, VS range clarity, and a total carat weight of .09ctw. The sides of the ring display a beautiful filigree wirework design along with hand carved etched accents, creating a lovely and feminine floral motif. The unusual design of the ring is simply wonderful and the ring looks incredible when worn. The ring was appraised by an accredited and independent GIA certified Gemologist in April 2014 and has a stated retail replacement value of $33,000.00. It is an absolutely breathtaking ring and would make a perfect engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 5.5 but could easily be resized. When worn, the ring sits approximately 1/4" atop the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact.
