Art Deco Platinum Diamond & Sapphire Engage Ring 1.29ct
A lovely Art Deco (ca1920) diamond and sapphire engagement ring! This fabulous piece has a diamond stone that rests in the center of a very ornate filigree mounting made of platinum. The diamond has a total weight of 1.29ct with L color and SI1 clarity. The diamond is prong set and accented with 2 additional diamonds and 2 sapphires. The diamonds are set in a heart-shaped design which are on the shoulders of the mounting. The old European stones have a total approximate weight of 0.08ct tw, H-I color range and VS clarity range. The synthetic sapphires (0.06ct tw) are a vibrant blue and can be seen from the side of the ring. The unusual design of the ring is simply wonderful and the ring looks striking on. The band of the ring carries a gorgeous etched design, and the underside is stamped “PLATINUM”. The ring was appraised by an accredited and independent Gemologist in February 2013 and has a stated retail replacement value of $10,000.00. It is an absolutely beautiful ring and would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6.5 but could easily be resized. When worn, the ring sits approximately 1/4" atop the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds and sapphires are intact.
