An absolutely phenomenal emerald and diamond ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! The ring, which is made of platinum, has a natural pyramidal cabochon emerald set within it. The stone, which is octagonal in shape, has exquisite, luscious green color and a total weight of 14.77ct tw. The stone is prong set within the mounting with simple wirework details that can be seen from the sides. The platinum mounting is simple yet ornate and has 8 graduating Emerald Cut diamonds that line the shoulder of the ring. These diamonds have a total approximate weight of .65ct tw and compliment the emerald wonderfully. The ring, which is of French decent, has touch marks on one of the prongs and a hallmark on the band. The emerald was graded by AGL (American Gemological Laboratories) and is stated to be a Natural Beryl Emerald of Colombian origin. It's an absolutely magnificent ring and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 8 but could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum mounting or to the emerald and all of the diamonds are intact.
