A simply stunning sapphire and diamond ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This fantastic piece has a large, natural star sapphire center that is a domed cabochon shape. The stone weighs approximately 4.5ctw and has a wonderful, rich blue color. In the center, is a star that is somewhat faint but can be seen when it catches the light. Because of the difficulty to capture the star in a photograph, it's not as noticeable in the images. The sapphire is prong set within the platinum setting, which also holds 6 diamonds, 4 Baguette Cuts and 2 Trillion Cuts. The underside of the band is stamped “10%IRIDPLAT”. It looks absolutely stunning on and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The face of the ring measures slightly more than 1/2" wide, 3/8” tall, and sits 3/8” above the finger. The ring has a finger size 5.75, but could easily be resized if desired.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the star sapphire or to the platinum and all of the diamonds are intact.
