Art Deco 14kt Carved Carnelian & Enamel Link Bracelet
A wonderful carnelian and enamel link bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! The bracelet is made of 14kt yellow gold and is comprised of alternating carved carnelian cabochons and illustrated enamel links. There are three oval-shaped carnelian links, each bezel-set and hand carved with a beautiful floral-inspired pattern on the surface. In between each carnelian cabochon is a rectangular gold link, which has a cutout pattern and enameled surface. Each enamel link depicts the image of a man seated in a wheeled chair, which is pulled by a second man who walks ahead. Ridged gold connectors complete the design, forming a straight but flexible bracelet that connects with a large gold spring ring clasp. A very unique piece, this bracelet would fit nicely on an average to large sized wrist. It has a wonderful look that is very versatile and perfect for everyday wear!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 8 1/4" long. Each carnelian cabochon link measures 7/8" long, 5/8" wide, and 3/8" thick. The enameled rectangle links measure 3/4" long and 1/2" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, is no apparent damage to the gold setting, enamel surface, or to any of the carnelian cabochons. The carnelian links have a small hole drilled at each end towards the bottom, which may have been part of a previous design and is not noticeable when worn. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
