Art Deco 14kt Carnelian & Enamel Cufflinks
A lovely pair of cufflinks from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! These double-sided cufflinks are made of 14kt yellow gold and have oval shaped faces. Set in the center of each side is a carnelian stone which is surrounded by an inlaid enamel yellow gold frame. The border alternates between enamel bars that are deep orange in color, and small gold knobs in between. Very fine etched work surrounds the enamel and gold knobs, adding delicate textured detail to the gold border. The semi-translucent carnelian stones have a beautiful, rich, orange color and look fantastic against the yellow gold setting. The backs of the cufflinks are connected by a long gold bar link, which attaches to a gold ring on the back of each. A classic and attractive pair of cufflinks, they would look fantastic worn by either a woman or a man!
Measurements: Each cufflink face measures approximately 3/4" tall, 1/2" wide, and slightly more than 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold settings or the enamel, and the carnelian stones are intact.
