Absolutely exquisite diamond and sapphire earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Each gorgeous earring is made of platinum and begins with a single diamond surmount. The diamond is set within an octagonal-shaped mounting that displays cutouts and milgrained detailing. This diamond topper, which has its original screw back post, connects to a platinum and diamond encrusted link that graduates in width. Each holds 8 sparkling diamonds and finishing the earrings is a gorgeous old European Cut diamond, which is framed by 8 calibrated sapphires. The overall diamond weight of the earrings is 2.00ct tw, with color in the H-I range, and clarity in the VS1 range. They are beautifully made and simply a work of art. The earrings are absolutely stunning on and would be perfect for a special collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs 1 3/8" long, is 5/16" at the widest point and is 1/8” at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum, and all of the diamonds and sapphires are intact. The screw back posts are secure and in good working condition.
