Late Art Deco 14kt Onyx & Diamond Drop Earrings
A beautiful pair of onyx earrings from the Late Art Deco (ca1930) era! Each earring is made of 14kt yellow gold and begins with an onyx bead surmount. The simple onyx topper is bezel set and attaches to a secure earring post. Dangling below is an elongated platinum topped link which has a single old Rose Cut diamond set amidst a milgrained frame. This link attaches to a carved onyx ring which has a cutout center and faceted accents which catch the light beauitfully. Hanging in the center of the ring is a platinum topped link that holds an old Rose Cut diamond along with an old Mine Cut diamond, each bezel set. The earrings have the original squeeze back posts which are marked "PROMIS. NICE. BTE. S.G.O.G FRANCE. ETRANGER". Very light and comfortable to wear, these marvelous earrings look stunning on and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs 2" long and the circle has a 1" diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold, onyx, and diamonds.The earring backs are secure and intact.
