LALIQUE French Art Deco Crystal Woman Necklace
An incredible Lalique crystal necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This stunning piece is comprised of a single round crystal plaque, which is worn as a pendant on a black cord necklace. The crystal has the traditional Lalique frosted accents and carries the gorgeous raised design of a woman who is kneeling within a garden of flowers, with a single bouquet clasped in her outstretched hand. Two holes at the top of the pendant and a single hole at the bottom are threaded with the original black silk cord, which is knotted in several places and forms the necklace. Dangling below the crystal pendant are several gathered black silk strands that comprise a long tassel at the bottom. The side of the pendant is stamped "R. LALIQUE", "FIORET" and "PARIS". It's a marvelous and artistic Lalique crystal piece that would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The Lalique crystal pendant has a diameter of 1 3/8" and is 3/16" thick. The necklace measures approximately 25" long and the pendant and tassel hang 4.5" long below.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage, cracks, or chips to the Lalique crystal pendant and only normal wear to the silk cord.
