A spectacular and unusual enamel watch pendant and chain from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This extra long enamel chain has an enamel and diamond watch pendant that hangs from the center and each piece appears to be original, including the clasp. The chain is comprised of long blue textured enamel bar links which have 14kt gold ends and are connected by small platinum chain spacers. The ornate links come together at an open wirework platinum connector that is accented with milgrained details and 9 old Rose Cut diamonds. Hanging from this lorgnette style chain are 2 more enamel bar links which connect to the matching enameled watch pendant. The clock pendant is simply marvelous! Made of a 14kt yellow gold case, the clock has a Guilloche enamel face with a open wirework platinum design riveted into the center. The design has 5 old Rose Cut diamonds clustered within it and milgrained details. The clock has a textured cream face with enameled details. The numbers are black in color as well as the minute marks and numbers. The watch winds at the bottom and is detailed with a single cabochon sapphire stone. The watch is fully functional but must be wound on a regular basis. The blue color of the enameling is fantastic and vivid. It's a magnificent watch pendant and chain and would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures approximately 23 1/2" long with a 1 1/4" lorgnette extension. The watch pendent measures slightly less than 1 1/4" long, 1 1/8" at the widest point and a little more than 1/4" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant and chain is excellent. The enameled watch pendant is in fine condition with no apparent chips or nicks. The enameled chain is also in fine condition with only a few very minor nicks and all of the diamonds are intact. The watch keeps perfect time as long as it is wound regularly.
