Art Deco Platinum Sapphire & Diamond Teardrop Pendant .45ct
A beautiful and delicate pendant from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This lovely piece is made of platinum and has a simple, yet lovely teardrop design. In the center of the teardrop is a sparkling Old European cut diamond held in a bezel setting. The diamond weighs approximately .45ct and has I color and SI1 clarity. Surrounding the center diamond is a lovely border, which includes 6 calibrated sapphires at either side and delicate white diamonds at the base and tip. A cutout design surrounding the center diamond further enhances its beauty. The contrast between the sparkling white diamonds and deep blue sapphires makes a gorgeous combination! At the top of the teardrop is a platinum simple bail, allowing the pendant to be worn on a delicate chain. This beautiful and feminine piece would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 7/8" long, is 3/8" at its widest point, and and 1/8" at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or bail, and the diamonds are sapphires are all intact.
