A wonderful enameled watch pendant from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful combination piece has a very "Deco" six-sided geometric shape, and is made of sterling silver with a rich black enamel surface. One side displays a round watch face in the center, which reads "MERSMAN". The opposing side of the piece serves as an attractive pendant, with a feminine sterling design at the top adorned with sparkling marcasites. At the bottom of the pendant is a watch winder set with a deep blue cabochon sapphire. The piece hangs from a simple sterling bail, allowing it to be easily hung and worn on a chain. Perfect for the lover of Art Deco jewelry or old timepieces, this versatile watch pendant would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurements: The piece hangs approximately 1 5/8" long, is 1" at the widest point, and slightly more than 1/4" at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or enamel, and the sapphire cabochon and all marcasite stones are intact. The winder and watch crystal are both intact, and the watch appears to be keeping good time. The bail is secure and in good condition.
