A lovely diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful piece has a prong set diamond stone that rests in the center of the ornate platinum mounting. The diamond, which is an old Mine Cut, has a total approximate weight of .70ct tw H color and SI1 clarity. On each shoulder of the center stone is a heart-shaped design that holds a single cut bead set diamond at its center. An additional diamond rests next to each heart, carrying the wonderful design down each shoulder. Filigree wirework and ornate carving on the shoulders and sides makes the mounting of this ring absolutely fabulous! The frame surrounding the center diamond displays a delicate floral motif and a carved design carries partway around the band. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified gemologist in November 2014 and has a stated retail replacement value of $6,500.00. It is an exquisite piece and would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 5 but it could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and all of the diamonds are intact.
