A wonderful enameled watch pendant from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautifu watch and pendant is made of 18kt yellow gold and is oval in shape. One side displays a small oval watch face in the center, surrounded by a gorgeous red enameled background. The gold seam that runs along the edge of the piece has a thin black enameled border, accenting the edges beautifully. The opposing side of the piece serves as an attractive pendant, with a black and red enameled design, accented by yellow gold along the edges. The piece hangs from a decorative black and gold enameled topper that is secured to a carved onyx bail, allowing it to be worn on a chain. The movement and the interior encasing have several markings including "18K", "750", "MOVADO FACTORIES SWISS DEPOSE" and "750247 7501". The vibrant enamel colors give this piece a wonderful look! Perfect for the lover of Art Deco jewelry or old timepieces, it would make a lovely addition to any collection.
Measurements: The piece hangs approximately 2" long from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant, is 5/8" wide and 5/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and no chips in the enamel. The bail is intact, and the crystal watch face has a tiny scuff that is not noticeable when worn. Watches of this era should be cleaned and oiled periodically and at this time, the watch is in fine working order and keeping good time.
