Art Deco Chinese 18kt Jadeite Beaded Necklace 25"
A wonderful Chinese jadeite necklace from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This beautiful piece is comprised of two strands of 69 jadeite beads, which meet at a large jadeite ring in the center. The round beads are graduated with the smallest beads towards the back. In between each bead is a simple 18kt yellow gold spacer, adding a perfect accent. The large jadeite ring is held within a vibrant 18kt yellow gold bezel and a smaller yellow gold ring lines the inner circle, completing the design. All of the jadeite beads and the center pendant have magnificent coloring with pale hues of luscious green and milky white. The necklace is strung on flexible wire and comes together in the back at a simple yellow gold barrel clasp. The simple and attractive design is very wearable and reflects its Chinese origin. This eye-catching piece would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The entire necklace measures approximately 25" long. The smallest bead is approximately 5mm, and the largest is 10mm. The diameter of the large jadeite ring is 1 7/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the jadeite ring or to the beads, which are securely strung. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
