Art Deco Sterling Black Enamel Watch Fob Necklace
A fabulous Art Deco enamel watch fob necklace from the 1920's! This bold and wonderful piece is made of silver and consists of a ball shaped watch fob and complimentary chain. The watch fob is enameled in a rich black hue and displays a small round watch face at the base. The watch face is pearly white with metallic blue hands and gold dot accents and the winder can be found at one side in between a double row of silver lines. At the top of the watch fob is a decorative silver leaf bail, which attaches to a swivel clasp hanging from a complimentary chain to form a fabulous necklace. The chain is comprised of sections of delicate silver chain that alternate with black and red enameled bar links. The chain fastens in the back with a simple spring ring clasp. It's a wonderful and fashionable piece and would make a fantastic addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures approximately 18" long. The swivel chain and watch fob together hang approximately 2" long below. The fob is 1" tall and 7/8" wide, and the base has a 1/2" diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the watch fob and chain is excellent. Besides minimal normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or enamel. The swivel clasp and spring ring clasp are both secure and in good working condition.
