Late Art Deco Large Sterling Filigree Moonstone Pendant
A lovely and artistic moonstone pendant from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This beautiful piece is particularly large in size and adorns 2 moonstone cabochons which are set within an ornate sterling silver setting. At the center of the pendant is a large, oval-shaped moonstone surrounded by an incredibly ornate flowing filigree frame. A single moonstone set within a decorative link dangles freely at the very bottom and the large, heart-shaped pendant hangs from a complimentary wirework bail. The moonstones are beautiful and clear with subtle flashes of blue and each are bezel set in an open back setting. The scrolled wirework design completes the feminine setting, which is textured with delicate milgrain detail and accented with fine sterling beadwork. A very special piece, this lovely pendant displays exemplary craftsmanship and would make an elegant addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 3 1/4" long, is approximately 1 1/4" at its widest point and has a depth of 1/4" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting and both moonstones are intact.
