A gorgeous and unusual petrified wood ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This very rare ring has a large oval-shaped piece of petrified wood prong set in a 10kt yellow gold filled band. The setting appears to have the look of a floral stem leading to the petrified wood and the prongs have scalloped edges. The band of the ring is simply smooth and the underside of the setting shows through to the wood. The inside of the ring is marked "10K GOLD FILLED". This fabulous ring is a nature lover's delight with a beautiful petrified wood 'stone'!
Measurement: The petrified wood 'stone' measures a little less than 1" long, 1/2" at the widest point and 1/4" in depth. It has a finger size of 4.75 but could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold filled band or to the petrified wood, which is secure in its setting.
