Art Deco Sterling Black & White Enamel Necklace
A unique and artistic sterling and enamel necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful piece is made of sterling silver and has a rich, black and white enamel design. At the centerpiece of the necklace is sterling link that forms a geometric shape comprised of several triangles and a kite shape. Each shape is separated and inlaid with alternating black or white enameling. The center piece hangs from 2 sterling links that have the shape of an elongated triangle which also, has a surface detailed with black and white enameling. These links attach to an ornate silver chain that fastens in the back. A patterned etched design can be seen from beneath the white enameling which adds richness to the piece. The back of each link as well as the clasp are stamped "STERLING". A fabulous piece, this necklace looks fantastic when worn and would make a stunning addition to any collection!
Measurements: The length of the necklace measures 18 1/4". The center link measures 1 1/2" long and 7/8" wide and each outer link measures 1" wide and 1/4" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the chain, sterling pieces, or the enamel work. The clasp is intact and in good working condition.
