Late Art Deco Plat 18kt Large Citrine & Diamond Necklace 12ctw
A fantastic and unusual citrine necklace from the Late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This beautiful piece is comprised of a single teardrop citrine that hangs from an 18kt yellow gold chain. The faceted citrine, which is particularly large in size (weighing 12ctw+), is prong set within a stunning gold frame, which displays fabulous wirework and a heart motif. A platinum topped scrolled bail rests at the top the citrine and connects to a complimentary link at the center of a gold chain. The scrolled bail and link are detailed with 13 sparkling old Rose and Mine Cut diamonds, with the largest bezel set at the center. It's a spectacular piece and would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain of the necklace measures 15" long. The dangling citrine pendant hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, is 5/8” at the widest point, and has a depth of slightly more than 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace and pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting or to the citrine, and all of the diamonds are intact. The clasp of the chain is secure and in good working condition.
