A simply magnificent Art Nouveau (ca1910) piece with a fabulous and subtle detail! This locket has a stunning double-sided enameled surface with a very intricate and detailed design etched beneath it. The enamel center is set in 14kt yellow gold while the remaining metal is made of platinum. Below the enameling is a hand etched design with 4 intriguing devil faces on each side. On the front of the locket are 9 Rose Cut diamonds clustered in the center and set in platinum. Surrounding the locket center is a beautiful ornate wire work border with 16 diamonds set within it. It's an absolutely fabulous and very unusual piece that would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The locket pendant hangs approximately 1 7/8" long, is 1 5/8" wide and has a depth of 1/4". The enameled face of the locket measures approximately 7/8" wide and 7/8" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant locket is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the enameled surface or to the gold or platinum and all of the diamonds are intact.
