Art Nouveau 14kt Mississippi River Pearl Lavalier Pendant
An elegant lavalier pendant from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! This delicate piece is made of 14kt yellow gold and has a beautiful flowing design with a lovely cutout center. The pendant holds a natural Mississippi River pearl set in the center which is surrounded by smaller natural seed pearls that decorate the gold framework. The pendant hangs from a complimentary gold bail, which holds a a vertical row of two delicate natural pearls. Dangling from the bottom of the piece are three natural Mississippi River pearls, which complete the lovely, flowing Art Nouveau design perfectly. The pearls have rich, shimmery color and a wonderful luster and look phenomenal in the yellow gold setting. The underside of the pendant is stamped "14K". This beautiful lavalier would look marvelous worn on a simple gold chain and would make a gorgeous and feminine addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, is 5/8" at the widest point and has a depth of approximately 3/16” at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or bail and all of the pearls are intact.
