William B. Kerr Co. was a manufacturer of jewelry, flatware and hollow-ware established in Newark, New Jersey in 1855. Kerr was known for elaborate and unique Art Nouveau pieces, including the American Beauty series as well as many different patterns for children featuring nursery rhymes and images.

A lovely set by William B. Kerr from the Art Nouveau (ca1915) era. The 2 piece set is made of repousse sterling silver and comprised of a large pin/pendant and a pair of matching earrings. All three pieces feature an elaborate raised design of a beautiful flower motif. The petals of the flower are delicately curved and intricately detailed to mimic nature's natural beauty. The pin originally had a "C" clasp on the back but has since been changed to a modern clasp for safety reasons. There is also a watch pin hook on the back which was is perfect for hooking to a sterling chain and wearing as a pendant. The earrings, originally screw backs have also been changed and hang from a silver wire with a safety clasp. The pin is marked "STERLING", "82" and bears Kerr's hallmark of a single bit axe. They used this trademark of a medieval axe from the 1880's until 1927. This beautiful set would make a great addition to any collection!

Measurements: The pin measures approximately 1 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" long with a depth of 1/2". The earrings hang approximately 1" long. The flower is approximately 3/4" long and approximately 3/4" wide.

Condition: The overall condition of the set is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the silver on any of the pieces. The earring clasps, hook and pin clasp are all in good working condition.
