A simply exquisite opal and diamond ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! This fabulous ring has a single oval shaped cabochon opal stone set in its center. The stone is prong set and has simply magnificent color with hues of green, blue, pink, and yellow. The opal is surrounded by 14 old Mine Cut diamonds which are set in a sterling topped setting and have a total weight of .25 ct tw. The band is made of 14kt yellow gold is stamped "14K" on one side of the shank and "2" on the other side. The opal stone is truly beautiful and has an almost magical quality, especially when paired with such a dazzling diamond border. This ring would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.25 but could easily be resized. The oval shaped opal stone, including the diamond border, measures 1/2" at its widest point, 5/8" at the tallest point and has a depth of approximately 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting or to the opal stone and all of the diamonds are intact.
