A wonderful opal pendant from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! This delicate piece depicts a heart shaped opal, which is surrounded by natural seed pearls, and old Mine cut diamonds. The opal, which is vibrant in color with hues of green, pink, blue and yellow, is prong set in a sterling topped 14kt gold setting. Surrounding the heart are 18 old Mine cut and Rose cut diamonds which range in size and are either bezel, prong or bead set. Three separate links dangle from the pendant, each with a bezel set Rose cut diamond and a single seed pearl. At the top of the heart is a 4th seed pearl. The pendant hangs from a sterling topped 14kt yellow gold bail with 3 Rose cut diamonds set in it. The piece has a beautiful and soft design and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant measures approximately 1 1/4" tall and 1" at the widest point. The bail measures approximately 3/8" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the opal, gold, silver or seed pearls and all of the diamonds are intact.
