Victorian 18kt Multi Stone & Pearl Twisted Snake Bracelet
An exceptional snake bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This fabulous piece is made of vibrant 18kt yellow gold and has a fabulous twisted snake design. At the center of the piece is a large Mississippi River pearl, which has a natural asymmetrical shape and displays a rich, shimmery luster. At either side of the pearl is a hinged double snake design comprised of two intertwining serpents that form the shoulders of the bracelet. The snakes are textured with engraved scales and are depicted with slanted eyes and open mouths. Each of the four snakes is adorned with three sparkling gemstones set within their bodies and heads. The stones alternate between diamonds and vivid green emeralds. The back of the bracelet is formed by two sections of woven gold chain that come together at a push clasp and a safety chain provides extra security. The bracelet is absolutely gorgeous and looks simply marvelous when worn. It would be perfect for any snake lover and would make a beautiful addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/4" wide and 1 3/4" tall and would fit a small to average sized wrist. The pearl measures 1/2" wide and tall and rests 5/16" high when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the diamond and emerald stones are intact. The push clasp is in good working condition and the safety chain is secure.
