Victorian 18kt "RECUERDO" Multi Stone Bangle Bracelet
An outstanding and unusual bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) period! Made of 18kt yellow gold, this fabulous piece has a very striking design. The back of the bracelet is made of smooth yellow gold, while the front is intricately detailed with a fine latticework design made of textured filigree wirework that forms a grid.Resting atop the grid pattern are raised gemstone encrusted letters that spell the word RECUERDO (meaning "memory" or "souvenir"). Each letter is formed by a different natural gemstone, including sparkling white diamonds, luscious rubies, and elegant sapphires. The letters are stand out beautifully against the wirework grid background, creating a simply magnificent design. The bracelet is hinged in two places and opens at a push clasp in the back. The trio of stones give the piece a lovely pop of color, and the bracelet has a very versatile look that could be paired with other complimentary bangles, or worn alone as a special standout piece. This bold Victorian bracelet blends seamlessly into modern day fashion and would make a one-of-a-kind addition to any jewelry collection!
