Victorian French 18kt Garnet Cabochon Bangle Bracelet
A magnificent bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) period! This stunning piece is made of vibrant 18kt yellow gold and has a gorgeous garnet cabochon design that carries around the entire outer surface of the bracelet. A total of fourteen foil-backed garnet cabochons decorate the outside of the bracelet, each stone held within a bezel setting and displaying a rich, deep cranberry red color. The contrast between the vivid yellow gold and luscious garnet stones is simply breathtaking! Lining the top and bottom and bottom edges of the piece is a row of gold balls, adding a beautiful finishing touch to the piece. The bracelet is hinged and opens at at push clasp at the side, which has a safety chain for added security. A stunning piece, it makes a statement worn alone, or could be paired with other complimentary bracelets. It's an outstanding Victorian piece and would make an impressive addition to any collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 3/8" wide and 2" tall. The surface of the bracelet is approximately 3/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the garnet cabochons are intact. The hinge and push clasp are both in good working condition, and the safety chain is secure.
