Exquisite carved moonstone cufflinks from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! These fabulous cufflinks portray an ornately hand carved moonstone face which is encased in an 18kt rosy yellow gold setting. Each oval shaped moonstone has a unique yet complimentary design which depicts the profiles of 2 different ancient Greek gods on each. The carvings are wonderfully detailed and include expressive faces, curls and leaves within the hair, a small harp and a winged helmet. The oval shaped faces connect to a gold and platinum braided bar which attaches by a clasped loop. Fabulous and unusual, the cufflinks are absolutely wonderful. They would look fantastic worn by a woman or man and would make an incredible addition to any collection!
Measurements: The carved moonstone face measure a little more than 1/2" tall, are 3/4" at their widest point, and are a little less than 1/4" thick. The braided bar measures 7/8" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the carved moonstones or to the gold and platinum setting.
