Art Deco Platinum & Diamond Engagement Ring 1.01ct
An incredibly beautiful diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This stunning piece is made of platinum and holds a gorgeous 1.01ct old European Cut diamond in the center. The center diamond, which has I color and SI1 clarity, is micro prong set within a beautiful square setting. The setting has clipped corners, giving the square a soft appearance. Set within the mounting are 2 additional old European cut diamonds, one resting at each shoulder. Both diamonds are bead set and have an approximate total weight of 0.30ctw, with H-I color and VS clarity. The design of the ring is completed with beautiful filigree wirework, antique engraving on the shoulders, and delicate milgrained detail. The inside of the shank is stamped "PLAT." The ring was appraised in May 2014 by an accredited and independent GIA certified Gemologist and has a retail replacement value of $11,800.00. It looks absolutely gorgeous when worn and would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 7 but it could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to the diamond stones, which are all intact.
