An incredibly lovely and delicate pair of coral earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these beautiful earrings is made of 14kt yellow gold and has an ornate Etruscan twisted gold wirework design. Each earring hangs from a decorative round topper, which is decorated with a spiral twisted gold rope design and attached to a simple gold earring wire. A small coral cabochon resist in the center of the spiral, adding the perfect accent. Dangling below is an elongated gold teardrop link, which has the same gold rope design on the front surface. In the center is a gorgeous rose, with carved coral representing the petals, and gold leaves and stem. The earrings are incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear, and the contrast between the coral and vibrant yellow gold is marvelous. The elaborate design has a very elegant look, which is lovely when worn. They would make a wonderful addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/4" long, measures slightly less than 1/2" at the widest point, and is 3/8" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, Etruscan wirework, or carved coral. The earring wires are secure and in good condition.
