An exquisite pair of gold Etruscan earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of vibrant 15kt yellow gold, these wonderful earrings have an exceptional Etruscan wirework design. A large yellow gold ball dangles from decorative earring toppers, which are attached to a simple earring wire. Both the hanging ball and the gold ball topper display an intricate Etruscan wirework pattern comprised of delicate swirls and fine beadwork. A large curved handle links the hanging ball to the topper, with a dangling gold ball element that swings freely in the middle. At either side of the Etruscan topper are two small gold balls that that hang from the sides. The hollow design makes the earrings wonderfully lightweight and comfortable to wear. An outstanding example of fine Etruscan jewelry, these gorgeous Victorian earrings would make a stunning addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 7/8" long. The Etruscan ball at the bottom has a 5/8" diameter.
Condition: Overall, the earrings are in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or Etruscan wirework, and the earring wires are intact.
