Absolutely stunning moonstone earrings from the Art Nouveau (ca1930) era! These wonderful earrings are made of 14kt yellow gold and are accented with gorgeous moonstone centers. The stones are round in shape and portray a "Man in the Moon" face. The faces are hand carved with wonderful and intricate detail and have an open back which allows light to come through. Convex with a 3-dimensional appearance, the moonstones are bezel set and have a flat frame border. Each earring hangs from a single prong set sparking diamond which attaches to a simple earring wire. The moonstones are particularly wonderful, with clear, vibrant blue color. These earrings are simply marvelous and would make a stunning addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 1/4" long, are 5/8" at their widest point, and have a depth of slightly more than 1/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the moonstones which are secure and intact.
