A pair of elegant diamond earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! These beautiful diamond earrings are made of platinum topped 14kt gold and feature a delicate, diamond detailed design. Each earring begins with a gold hinged earring wire attached to a vertical row of 3 bezel set old European Cut diamonds, which have H-I range color, SI1 clarity, and weigh approximately .54ctw for the 6 diamonds. Dangling below is a teardrop-shaped piece which features 11 old Rose Cut diamonds within an intricate filigree and milgrained setting. The 22 Rose Cut diamonds have H-I range color, SI1 clarity, and weigh approximately .17 ctw. Hanging in the center of each teardrop shape is a larger diamond stone which is bezel set with a lovely milgrained border. The two larger stones have H-I color, SI1 clarity, and weigh approximately 1.45 ctw. The earrings were appraised in March 2013 by an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist, and have a stated retail replacement value of $12,000.00. A delicate and feminine piece, these lovely earrings would look fabulous worn for special occasions and would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each diamond earring hangs approximately 1 1/2" long, is about 3/8" at the widest point, and has a depth of 3/16".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting or wires and all of the diamonds are intact.
