BARRY KIESELSTEIN-CORD Estate 18kt Citrine Intaglio Earrings

SKU: 22766

Creating art as objects, with a sense of style ungoverned by the whims of fashion, Barry Kieselstein-Cord was a talented artist known for his somewhat bold, sculptural, sophisticated and primitive techniques. His often whimsical pieces are coveted because they are thought of as much more than jewelry and accessories, but instead as a piece of art. Many of his creations have been accepted into the permanent collections of the Louvre in Paris, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston as examples of fine arts, but more importantly, they are valued by individual collectors, who collect them and display every day in the world’s greatest gallery in the world—its streets.

A beautiful pair of Barry Kieselstein-Cord 18kt gold intaglio estate clip-on citrine earrings! These stunning earrings are oval in shape and have a beautiful citrine intaglio carved on the front. The setting is a bezel type setting with 3 graduated curved gold rows along the outside and 2 small balls set in a rectangular design on either side. The intaglio carving appears to be that of a Greek God, with a gold mirror facing outward set behind the intaglio. The backs of the earrings are stamped “B.KIESELSTEIN-CORD”, “1985”, “750” and also feature a KIESELSTEIN-CORD signature hallmark stamp. A stunning pair of earrings, they would make any Barry Kieselstein-Cord collection complete!

Measurements: The earrings measure approximately 7/8" long, approximately 3/4" wide and approximately 1/4" deep.

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There are some very minor surface scratches in the citrines, which are not noticeable when worn. There is no apparent damage to the gold and the earring clips are secure and in good working condition.
