Fantastic diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Attached to clasped wires, each earring begins with a single leaf-like surmount and has a single old European Cut diamond stone dangling at the base. The diamonds are set in a lovely buttercup setting which displays beautiful wirework on the sides. One diamond has a weight of 1.08ct, while the other has a weight of 1.10ct. Both earrings have color in the J-K range and clarity in the VS1-VS2 range. These fabulous earrings would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each diamond earring hangs approximately 7/8" long, is about 1/4" at the widest point and has a depth of a little more than 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or wires and both diamonds are intact.
