A delightful pair of 15kt yellow gold earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Of English origin, each earring is oval in shape and has a 3-dimensional buckle that lies vertically, from the top to the bottom of the earring. Each buckle has 2 small old Rose cut diamond stones set within it which adds to the detail of these fabulous earrings. The earrings hang from a single gold ball which is attached to a gold wire. Very light and comfortable to wear, these marvelous earrings would be great worn day or night.
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 5/8" long, is a little less than 1" at the widest point and has a depth of 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold ovals, buckle detail or to the earring wires and all of the diamonds are intact. There is a small amount of damage to one of the gold balls that rests at the base of one of the earring wires, however this is hardly noticeable when worn.
