Victorian 15kt Turquoise Dangling Vessel Earrings
A pair of beautiful dangling earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring, which is hollow inside and incredibly lightweight, is made of 15kt yellow gold and forms the shape of an elongated vessel. The front of each vessel adorns three gold prongs, which are flat and come to an arrow-shaped point at the end. The prongs feature a diamond-shaped engraving with a small cabochon turquoise set inside. The turquoise has a gorgeous vibrant blue color that looks fabulous against the rich yellow gold. Each earring dangles from a decorative yellow gold topper, which takes the shape of a shallow cup with a gold ball in the center and a twisted wire border. The earrings hang from simple gold earring wires. Very light and comfortable to wear, these marvelous earrings look simply lovely when worn. They would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately nearly 2 1/2" long, and is approximately 3/8" wide and thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is good. There are a few small dings in the gold, which is normal for Victorian-era jewelry and is hardly noticeable when worn. Besides the normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the earrings. The turquoise stones are are all intact and the earring wires are secure.
