An absolutely fantastic enamel and diamond locket from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This lovely piece, which is made of 14kt yellow gold, is particularly large in size and rectangular in shape. The front and back of the locket features a black enamel surface and at the center of the front is a raised design made of platinum. The design is accented with 9 Single Cut diamonds and carries a geometric shape with milgrained wirework. The piece is hinged at the bottom and opens at the top to reveal 2 places for your favorite photograph. The interior frame is stamped "14K" and a simple gold bail can be found at the top. A striking piece, this beautiful locket would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 1 3/4" long, is a little less than 1 1/8" wide and approximately 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or platinum or to the enameling and all of the diamonds are intact.
