Edwardian Platinum & Diamond Lorgnette Chain 22.5"
A beautiful platinum and diamond lorgnette chain from the Edwardian (ca1910) era. Made of platinum, this fabulous piece is comprised of ornate oval shaped links which alternate with small sections of chain. Towards the center of the chain are two kite-like shaped links which are accented with a single diamond set in the center of each and surrounded by geometric wirework. The chain comes together at a large triangular shaped center link which holds a bead set diamond in the center, surrounded by a complimentary geometric detailing. A chain extension hangs from the center link and at the bottom is a simple clasp which is perfect for hanging a complimentary pendant or locket. This fabulous lorgnette chain would look wonderful paired with a gorgeous pendant and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures 22.5" in length and the center extension measures 2 5/8" in length.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum chain and all of the diamond stones are intact. The clasps are secure and in good working condition.
