Edwardian Platinum 14kt & Diamond Lavalier Necklace
A beautiful lavalier pendant necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This delicate piece is made of platinum topped 14kt gold and is detailed with 18 sparkling diamonds. The pendant begins with a scrolled link that is topped with three bead set diamonds and three bezel set diamonds, surrounded by delicate milgrained detail. Hanging from each side of the topper is a free swinging bar, which is hinged at a bezel set diamond. Below each diamond is a fanned link which is completed with a bezel set diamond. The hinges on the dangling pieces allow for freer movement and better placement when worn. The pendant hangs from a fine gold chain, which fastens at the back with a simple spring ring clasp. A lovely and feminine piece, this necklace would make a simply beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures 20 1/4" long from end to end. The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, is 3/8" at the widest point and is 1/8” at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the setting and all of the diamonds are intact.
