A wonderful, bold pin from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This piece, which is made of 14kt yellow gold and topped in 14kt white gold, displays a diamond and demantoid garnet encrusted lizard. The body of the lizard is covered in prong set, mine cut diamonds that range in size and the legs and tail of the lizard display luscious demantoid garnet stones, which have a vibrant green color. The feet of the lizard are smooth 14kt yellow gold, and the end of the tail is smooth topped white gold. The detailing of this pin is simply fantastic! On the back of the pin is a secure pin clasp. It's a wonderful piece and would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin measures 2 1/8" at its longest point, 1" at the widest point and has a depth of 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the diamonds and demantoid garnet stones are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
