Now a banned material, Antique and Vintage tortoise shell jewelry has become very collectable. This tortoise shell is particularly beautiful. From the Edwardian (ca1910) era this wonderful piece is made of 14kt yellow gold topped in platinum and portrays a charming turtle. The body is represented by a large tortoise shell dome which has a hand carved textured back. The legs, tail and head are covered in prong set diamonds that range in size, giving a wonderful sparkle to the piece. The turtle's face is absolutely charming, with an open mouth and bezel set diamond eyes. On the back of the pin is a secure pin clasp. It's a wonderful piece and would make a great addition to any collection!

Measurements: The pin measures 1 3/4" at its longest point, 1 1/8" at the widest point and has a depth of 5/8".

Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting or to the tortoise shell back and all of the diamonds are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
