A stunning sapphire and diamond bar pin from the Edwardian (ca1910) period! This absolutely gorgeous handmade pin is made of platinum and encrusted with old Rose and Mine Cut diamonds. Bezel set within the center of the pin is a striking, oval shaped Ceylon sapphire stone. The cabochon sapphire has gorgeous royal blue coloring which is complimented perfectly by the sparkling white diamonds. On the back of this long bar pin is a large platinum clasp, which is stamped “1328”. It is a remarkable piece and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurement: The long bar pin measures approximately 2 3/4" long, is 3/8" at the widest point, and has a depth of 1/4". The pin has an approximate weight of 2.75dwt (pennyweight).
Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no damage to the platinum or to the sapphire, and all of the diamonds are intact. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
