Edwardian Platinum Diamond & Sapphire Engage Ring 0.95ct
A stunning diamond and sapphire engagement ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This gorgeous piece is made of platinum and has a stunning old European Cut diamond at its center. The diamond is bezel set and weighs approximately 0.95ctw with J color and SI1 clarity. The center diamond is set amid a vibrant border of 16 calibrated French Cut sapphires that weigh approximately 1.25ctw. In between the sapphires and the diamond is an open channel which has a fine scrolled wirework design, giving the already gorgeous ring more fabulous detail. Eight additional diamonds rest on the shoulders of the mounting and a beautiful etched design carries down the sides, completing the design perfectly. The inside shank is stamped "PLAT". The ring comes with an appraisal by an independent and accredited Gemologist. It's a gorgeous ring and would look perfect worn everyday or could make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The octagonal face of the ring measures a little more than 1/2" tall and wide. The ring has a finger size 7.25 but could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the sapphires and diamonds are intact.
